On The Dali Lama
Iguana
the iguana has its eyes open, we don't know yet if it's
a male or a female. its head is down, we turned the light off.
i'm thinking, and i've done some experiments to prove this,
that it opens at least one eye if i type. max went to a reggae show with
luke, phil is doing something with the computer, lee ann is giving a reading
at the rising cafe in a reading series donna cartelli is running, lee ann
says it's a lesbian cafe. next to the iguana is a statue of a black
virgin and child that i got for bill de noyelles because at the time
he was giving talks with statues like that, albeit white, on a desk in
front of him. i don't think this iguana likes the hours i keep but it will
always lie down and basically act dead when the light is out! quel
horreur! i wouldn't want to be that way. i doubt that you would either.
the iguana alternately opens its eyes and closes them
Epigram On Wind
as i was walking down the road
my longtime companion says to me, "there's a car coming."
"no" i said "it's the wind" the wind is a cadillac convertible, with 8
cylinders
a gas guzzler if there ever was one.
the wind is a cesarian convocation
Epigram On Food
